Personal AI Workspace
Personal AI Workspace is a personal, single-user software project run by an individual developer. It is a set of AI assistant tools that the owner runs on the owner's own computers to help with everyday tasks: finding files, summarising email, checking the calendar and looking up contacts. The tools are Hermes Agent, a personal AI assistant that runs on the owner's own computer, and OMP, a coding and orchestration agent that can connect to Google Drive and Google Docs through Google's own Drive and Docs MCP servers. Both use this project's Google OAuth client.
It is not a public service. It has no sign-up, no accounts for other people, and it is not offered to the public. The only person whose Google account it is intended to access is the owner.
What the application does
When the owner asks a question in natural language (for example, "what is on my calendar tomorrow?"), the assistant reads the relevant data from the owner's own Google account and answers. The integration is read-only: it does not send email, change files, edit events or modify contacts.
| Google service | What the assistant uses it for | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Google Drive | Search and read the owner's files and documents to answer questions. | Read-only |
| Gmail | Search and read the owner's messages to answer questions and summarise. | Read-only |
| Google Calendar | Read the owner's events and calendar list. | Read-only |
| Google Contacts | Look up the owner's contacts. | Read-only |
| Google Docs | Read documents the owner points the assistant to. | Read-only (document tools may be configured by the owner for editing of the owner's own documents) |
How the owner's data is handled
Data is accessed only after the owner explicitly authorizes it with Google's consent screen, and only to answer the owner's own requests. See the Privacy Policy for the complete description, including how Google user data is stored, shared and deleted, and our compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
